SMH.Īt this point, I'm infuriated so I asked for contact info to Corporate so I can kindly express my disdain. I then asked why the software was available for download on the website if it not functional or supported and was told "the software is available for everyone that wants to use it on their own". the software is part of the DVR therefore we don't support it as well" I was told. "buuuut my problem is with the software - not the DVR" I said. However, tech support was kind enough to tell me they couldn't help me out b/c my DVR was unsupported. I decided to contact TechSupport (since I had such a good experience with them year one). A reinstall does nothing to fix the issue. After upgrading to Windows 10 20H2, the CMS HD software is completely useless and crashes after about 10 seconds. Being in front of the DVR still gives full functionality so I'm not dead in the water, but what is the point of having software to control the DVR if it's not going to work. The live feed worked so I was ok with that and if I needed to do a playback I could do so via the mobile app or directly in front of the DVR. based company I wouldn't expect my DVR traffic (when viewing it via the mobile app "night owl HD") to be routed through China, but that's apparently what it's doing and a topic for a different gripe different time.Īs it related to the CMS HD software, within the last 12 months I've I could no longer perform playback. ![]() The software on the other hand (spoiler) - crap.įor being a U.S. I've got an old Nigh owl HD security system.
